It’s time for a new VegOdluka!

The end of 2022 is approaching. Did this year meet your expectations? Or do you still have bad habits like unhealthy food and lack of exercise?

December is the time for making famous New Year’s resolutions. VivaBiH organization is here to help you realize your life plans and decisions, so we hereby invite you to make your VegOdluka (decision to become vegan) and try to be a vegan for a month.

VegOdluka is our project that has been implemented for two years so far, and it takes place during the month of January. This plan includes suggestions for three meals each day, along with nutritional values. So, every day during the realization of your VegOdluka, you will get free access to recipes for the whole day, their nutritional composition, as well as where to buy the ingredients needed to make the given dishes. All you have to do is get the groceries (and we’ve tried to make them accessible to everyone), and start preparing delicious meals.


What did the participants of the last VegOdluka say?

“First of all, I liked the VegOdluka challenge because it was done with a certified nutritionist who compiled the menus. The recipes are quite simple, which is good for beginners, but the food on the menu is still rich in macro and micronutrients. I recommend the challenge to everyone, especially beginners and those who want to try veganism for the simplicity of the recipes and the opportunity to try new dishes. Because entering veganism is “difficult” at first, everyone thinks you only eat salad,” Edvin Čeliković tells us with a laugh.

Maja Hodžić said: “I liked the idea of the vegan movement in January because, first of all, it brings together people who have the same sensibility towards animals and the environment. Also, it happens all over the world. It is a great idea to offer recipes for people who are new to veganism. This is the right direction because people do not know what to eat if it is not meat or other animal products. I have been a vegetarian for 11 years, so it was not difficult for me to give up animal products. I recommend everyone to try it, and to expand their cooking skills. And above all, to start the year in a sign of non-violence and care for the environment”.

What can you expect from this program?

This year, great recipes are waiting for you prepared by Ena Tešić, a nutritionist who graduated in Vienna and is herself a vegan.

Beside that, many useful tips regarding vegan nutrition await you, as well as weekly joint online gatherings to socialize and cook together. In addition, this year we will gather live for the first time because the pandemic prevented us from doing so the previous two years.

Yes, you read that right, we will also have live events, and the best participants will be reimbursed for their travel expenses if they are from other cities.

Wondering how to join our VegOdluka program?

All you need to do is to fill out this FORM (only for people from Bosnia and Herzegovina), after which you will get access to all the recipes, and to a private Facebook group where you can ask us any questions about the recipes, and share the implementation of them with us. Our nutritionist Ena will be with you all month to mentor you in the group and answer your questions.

If you are not immediately sure that you want to implement your VegOdluka, from the first of December you will have access to the recipes from the first three days of January to try them without registering for it. Recipes for the first three days will be available to everyone, so you can get an insight into the concept of this project.

Can last year’s participants join the new VegOdluka cycle? Absolutely!

Every change starts with a firm decision. This January, make the right VegOdluka, join us and eat exclusively vegan, nutritionally balanced food for a month.
